Rebecca Leigh “Reba” Murphy, 29, of Kansas City, was born, July 31, 1987, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Timothy L. and Ginger R. (Curtin) Murphy. She departed this life, Friday, June 9, 2017, in rural Lee’s Summit, near Lone Jack.
Reba was a 2005 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. While in high school she enjoyed singing and attending sporting events. Later she went on to earn her degree as an X-Ray Technician.
Reba was preceded in death by her brother, Richard William Chad Murphy; her paternal grandfather William “Bill” Curtin; and maternal grandparents, Charles Murphy and Loyce Davis.
She is survived by three children, Dalton Murphy, Ryleigh Murphy-Curtin, and Kenneth Earl Cornwell; her parents Timothy (and Stephanie) Murphy of Belton; her mother, Ginger R. Curtin of Pleasant Hill; her sister, Malesa Ann Murphy of Pleasant Hill; her maternal grandmother, Becky Curtin of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Parklawn Cemetery, Kansas City.
Final arrangements are under the care of Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Reba Murphy Memorial Fund which has been established at the Goppert Financial Bank, 2100 N. Highway 7, Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080 or may be sent in care of the funeral home.
