ReGina Lee Wells

August 8, 1932 — January 21, 2017

ReGina Lee Wells, 84, of Overland Park, KS died peacefully in her sleep on January 21. Known as Jean, she was born August 8, 1932 in Kansas City, KS.
ReGina is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Minnie Laundy, brother Edward Laundy, sister Marie Thompson, grandson Christopher Wheeler, granddaughter Megan Wheeler, and the love of her life, her late husband of 62 years, Norman Wells.
Before becoming a full time homemaker, Regina worked for several years at Daniels Cleaners in Kansas City. Even after 45 years, she still spoke fondly of the time she spent there. In 1972, ReGina and her family moved to Oklahoma City and then Chicago, before moving back to Lenexa, KS in 1980. Upon Norman’s retirement, they split their time between the Ozarks and Donna, TX. They spent many wonderful and happy years boating, square dancing, sunning by the pool, playing the slots at the casino and travelling with their many friends and family. And shopping….oh, how she loved to shop!
ReGina is survived by her two daughters, Tina (Jay) Stoltz of Chicago and Sharon (Lance) Wheeler of St. Clair, MO; grandchildren Jeremy (Michelle) Stoltz of Naperville, IL, Chas (Brian) Kennedy of Brookfield, IL and Daniel Wheeler of Harrisonville, MO; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
Funeral service were held Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
A graveside service were held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
