Albert P. Jackson of Joplin, Missouri was born January 28, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Donald Thomas and Helen Virginia (Weinberg) Jackson. He departed this life on Tuesday, may 15, 2012 at Landmark Hospital, Joplin, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Albert was a Retired Gunnery Sergeant for the United States Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Veteran. Albert had received the Purple Heart Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Citation Good Conduct Metal, 5 National Defense Service Metals and 2 Vietnam Campaign Medals. Albert had traveled the World and after his retirement he moved to Joplin, Missouri. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Carol Seleman and husband, Terry, Creighton, Missouri, Peggy Walter and husband, Raymond, Wellington, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
