Gerald Wayne was best known as “Buck” by his friends and family. He loved to travel and when he was home he enjoyed sitting out in his backyard watching the world slowly drift by. He loved bluegrass music, playing the Bango and guitar, and making new friends. He had a long career of computer programming and was a retired Commander in the USCG Reserves.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lila Pearl, his stepmother Pauline, stepbrother Richard, as well as his first wife, Charlene, and second wife, Connie.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori Ray, her husband, Shawn, and grandchildren, Travis and Kaylin, along with his great granddaughter, Summer. His daughter, Tracy Mettler, her husband Mark, and granddaughter Sydney Mettler and fiancé Lucas Irvine. His sister Shirley Hutson, her husband Jack, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Private Family Graveside will be held at Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
