Ricky Dale Reitz, of Garden City, Missouri, was born October 30, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Billy and Fern E. (Warner) Reitz. He departed this life on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Clinton, Missouri at the age of 59 years, 3 months and 18 days.
On January 17, 1970, Ricky was united in marriage to Rose Alice McEntire in Garden City, Missouri.
Ricky was employed as a truck driver for Mickelberry and Tiona Trucking and was also a farmer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Elizabeth.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Rose Reitz of the home; a son, Richard Dale Reitz, Belton, Missouri; three daughters, Shanda Greenwood and husband Robert, Archie, Missouri, Paula Davidson and husband James, Parkville, Missouri, Tonya Morris and husband Jason, Butler, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Reitz, Neosho, Missouri; two sisters, Melinda Keaton, Erie, Kansas, Penny Hix, Amoret, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Burial will be in the Dayton Cemetery near Garden City.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Ricky Reitz Memorial Fund.
