Robert Eugene ?Bob? Dailey of Garden City, Missouri was born June 26, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Albert Delmar and Cora Mae (Gibbs) Dailey. He departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at his home near Garden City surrounded by his family at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 5 days.
On May 25, 1979, Bob was united in marriage to Sandra Joyce (Quelch) Fuller in Garden City, Missouri.
Bob was employed as a field superintendent for A. Zahner Company, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Grandview, Missouri and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Bob was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2, Kansas City and the International Order of Foresters. He loved his family, grandchildren, fishing, the outdoors, auctions, pheasant hunting and bowling. Bob had lived in Kansas City before moving to Garden City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Dailey of the home; three sons, Robert Albert Dailey-Spangler and wife, Donna, Nashville, Tennessee, Edward Dailey, State of Tennessee, Jerry Fuller and wife, Amy, Harrisonville, Missouri; five daughters, Tori Burris and husband, Jim, Harrisonville, Missouri, Mary Bryant and husband, Rick, Donna Morris and husband, Russell, Kathy Hopkins and husband, Rusty all of Creighton, Missouri, Tina Nguyen and husband, Tai, Coral, Florida; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Brokaw, Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
