Robert Lee ?Bob? Bishop of Stockton, Missouri was born May 17, 1927 in Hamilton, Kansas the son of John William and Opal Helen (Bratton) Bishop. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at his home in Stockton at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 2 days.
On May 24, 1966, Bob was united in marriage to Leanna Faye Pedigo in Paola, Kansas.
Bob was a dairy farmer near Cleveland, Missouri and was also employed for the Cass County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement in 1981. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed his family, farming, working and country music. He had lived near Cleveland before moving to Stockton in 2004.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene.
He is survived by his wife, Leanna Bishop of the home; a son Martie Grimm, Cushing, Oklahoma; four daughters, Vickie Loraine Bishop, Tucson, Arizona, Vera Lynne Hatch, Butler, Missouri, Vee Lolita Whitworth, BoisD?arc, Missouri, Velma Lee Butler, Kansas City, Missouri; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Nicole Brockman, Green Ridge, Missouri, Linda Jean Solomon, Belton, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Moore, Cleveland, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Cleveland, Missouri.
Family will receive friends Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the church.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
