Robert Morrison

Robert John "" Bob"" Morrison of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 27, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Robert Tilford and Helen (Galbraith) Morrison. He departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonvlle at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 4 days. Bob was employed as a cable locator for Southwestern Bell, Kansas City, Missouri for 37 1/2 years until his retirement in 1987. Bob loved to play poker and had a poker game every Friday with his poker buddies. He also enjoyed to read and paint. Bob moved to Harrisonville in 1991.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Nicole and Tommy Krause.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Daisy Morrison of the home; a son, Bob Morrison and wife Susan, Southlake, Texas; a daughter, Robin Durbin and husband Darrell, Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Sondra Bowman, Raymore, Missouri, Shirley Anderson, Independence, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial service was held Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Six Mile Baptist Church, 26005 E. Blue Mills Road, Sibley, Missouri 64088.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
