Robert Price

Robert Reed ""Bob"" Price, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born October 22, 1931 in Elkland, Missouri, the son of Oscar M. and Jewel (Dodson) Price. He departed this life Tuesday, October 3, 2006, St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 11 days.
On February 14, 1963, Bob was united in marriage to Carol Sue Bailey in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Bob was a Sergeant for the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A, Lee's Summit, Missouri for 32 years serving the counties of Cass, Bates, Johnson, Saline and Jackson until his retirement on August 31, 1989. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society and the Missouri Troopers Association. Bob loved to boat, camp and the outdoors and going to Texas for the winters. He had lived in Harrisonville, Warrensburg, Marshall, Lee's Summit and Lake Winnebago, Missouri before moving to Pleasant Hill in 1998.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Don Price.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Sue Price of the home; three daughters, Michelle Walker and husband Randy, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Jannell Wasson and husband Tim, Raymore, Missouri, Lisa Schifferdecker and husband Ed, Lee's Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sarah, Austin, Brent, Lindsey, Emily; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the MASTERS (Missouri Association Of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society) and may be left at the funeral home.
