Roger Dale Worthley

Roger Dale Worthley, of Harrisonville, Missouri , was born July 23, 1945 in Garden City, Missouri, the son of Jewell D. and Marjorie Louise (Williams) Worthley. He departed this life Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 15 days.
Roger was employed as a truck driver for the Cass County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement in November of 2008. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville. Roger had developed a passion for photography, liked to repair lawn mowers and restore old trucks. He loved helping people and never meet a stranger. Roger was a lifelong Cass County resident.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a brother, Merle Worthley and wife Sandra, Harrisonville, Missouri; two nephews, William Worthley and wife Gretchen and their children, Kali and Karli, Vancouver, Washington; Michael Worthley and wife Kelley and their children, Marissa and Mason; a cousin, Jim Worthley and wife Barbara, all of Harrisonville, Missouri and an aunt, Annette Wells, Independence, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
