Rose Zella Adams

January 17, 1939 — April 23, 2013

Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rose Zella Adams left this world on April 23, 2013 after a long and valiant struggle in the loving embrace of her family. Rose was born in Deepwater, Missouri on January 17, 1939 to Roxie Eunice Arnold and Robert Jessee “Pete” Arnold.
On November 14, 1959, Rose was united in marriage to Charles William Adams. There were four children born to the marriage and one family friend adopted by love.
Rose was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Central High School in 1957. She was a Clerk at Wolf Brother’s, Secretary to Dr. Scarpolino at St. Luke’s Hospital, a Returns Clerk at Montgomery Ward’s and Home Health Care Provider for Upjohn Healthcare. Rose spent most of her years as a loving wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Arnold.
Rose leaves behind her loving husband Charles of the home; son Mark Adams and wife Cathy, Harrisonville, Missouri; daughter Charlotte Reifsteck and husband Fred, Independence, Missouri; daughter Jill Warren and life partner Andrew Kline, Kansas City, Missouri; and son Russell Adams and wife Chrissy, Harrisonville, Missouri; and Frank Monroe of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Rose loved her grandchildren more than life; she leaves behind Mark’s daughters Jessica and Ashley Adams; Charlotte’s daughters Kaitlyn and Haley Reifsteck; Jill’s sons, Jacob, Jeremiah and PFC Joshua Warren; and Russ’ daughter Nora Adams; a brother, Robert Arnold, Clinton, Missouri. Rose had a very large and loving extended family.
You will be so greatly missed but never ever forgotten. Rest in peace, your pain and struggles are gone.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
