Ross E. Osborn

Ross Edwin Osborn of Garden City, Missouri was born December 20, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Vern Ross and Eva Juanita (Briles) Osborn. He departed this life on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Belton Regional Medical Center, Belton, Missouri at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 12 days.
Ross was employed as a supervisor for General Motors - Leeds Plant, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in June of 1980. After retirement, Ross was elected as South Commissioner of Cass County for several years and was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville and the Grand River Masonic Lodge, Freeman, Missouri. Ross was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII serving as a flight engineer and aerial gunner in the Pacific Theatre. He enjoyed spending his winters in Texas, square dancing and tinkering. Ross was a lifelong area resident.
Besides his parents, Ross was preceded in death by a sister, Velda Troth.
Ross is survived by two sons, Steven Osborn and fianc, Dorene Duffer, Garden City, Missouri, Chris E. Osborn and wife, Tiffany, Harrisonville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dustin, Amber, Alicia and Alex; two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Addison; four brothers, Glen Osborn, Kansas City, Missouri, John E. Osborn, Archie, Missouri, Donald Osborn, Adrian, Missouri, Melvin R. Osborn, Drexel, Missouri; a sister, Alice Campbell, Carl Junction, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Family suggests contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Missouri.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment with Military Rites at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri.
