Ruthann Evangeline Jones

Ruthann Evangeline Jones, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri was born August 29, 1932 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of Lewis George and Marjorie Irene (Fowler) McLaughlin. She departed this life Friday, September 23, 2011 at St. Luke’s East, Lee’s Summit, Missouri at the age of 79 years and 27 days.
Ruthann was a very caring person in her own way. She was a nice Grandma that always cared for us. Wherever she is, she is happy and young again. So, today is not a day of sadness, for it is a day of happiness for the good times for her life on earth. We all loved her and her memory will go on along with her dysfunctional relationship with her and Uncle Tracy’s 13-year old companion, Tigger!
Besides her parents, she was preceded her sister, Marjorie Armstrong.
Ruthann is survived by two sons, Thomas Jones, Warsaw, Missouri, Tracy Jones, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two daughters, Rita Ferguson, Garden City, Missouri, Pamela Barker, Hollister, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis W. McLaughlin, Independence, Missouri; Katherine Eaton, Joplin, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Services was held Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
