Samuel Oscar "Sam" Deal of Archie, Missouri was born April 7, 1975 in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of James Everett Deal and Leslie Schenk. He departed this life on Monday, July 17, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident near Paola, Kansas at the age of 42 years, 3 months and 10 days.
On September 23, 2000, Sam was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jolene Cantrell at the Austin Baptist Church. Sam was employed as an iron worker for the Local #10 Iron Workers Union, Kansas City, Missouri through Doherty Steel, Inc., Paola, Kansas. He enjoyed reading, hunting, the outdoors and his pride and joy his children. He was a 1993 graduate of Parkview High School, Springfield, Missouri and had lived in Springfield and St. Joseph, Missouri before moving to Archie in 2010.
Sam is survived by his wife, Elizabeth L. Deal of home; three sons, Benjarman L. Deal and wife, Kiana, Archie, Missouri, Sylas J. Deal and Miles G. Deal both of the home; his mother, Leslie Daughterty, Springfield, Missouri; father and step-mother, James and Juanita Kay Deal, Pleasant Hope, Missouri; a brother, Joseph Deal, Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Jamie Zinn, Mt. Vernon, Texas, Dawn Pottenger, Columbia Falls, Montana, Lois Deal, Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral service were held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Austin Cemetery near Archie, Missouri.
