Sandra Jean Houdek of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 31, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of Harry S. and Charlotte (King) Lames. She departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 2 days.
On September 1, 1957, Sandra was united in marriage to William Richard ?Bill? Houdek in Dysart, Iowa.
Sandra was a homemaker and had lived in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill on February 7, 2007. She is survived by a son, Paul K. Houdek and wife, Brenda, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Barb Bellew and husband, Mike, Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren, Mary, Matt, Rachel, David, Andrew and Elizabeth; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. For directions please call 913-721-3466. Cremation.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri.
