Sandra Heitman, age 68, of Garden City, Missouri departed this life Friday, September 26, 2008 at St. Luke?s Hospital. Sandra Marie Heitman of Garden City, Missouri was born September 23, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Thomas Leslie and Audra Faye (Holland) Bierman. She departed this life Friday, September 26, 2008 at St. Luke?s Hospital, Kansas City at the age of 68 years and 3 days.
On August 23, 1958, Sandra was united in marriage to John Edmond Heitman in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sandra was employed as a pricer for Armco in Kansas City until her retirement. She was of the catholic faith and had attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. Sandra loved to travel, go camping in her camper, fishing and was a big NASCAR fan. She moved near Garden City in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband John Heitman of the home; two daughters, Tracy Bentley, Belton, Missouri and Janet Roberts, Raytown, Missouri; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a brother, Don Bierman, Farley, Missouri; a sister, Kathryn Fischer, Wichita Fall, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
