Sean D. Gilbert

Sean Dean Gilbert of Garden City, Missouri was born March 28, 1994 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Dean Lee Gilbert and Paula Lynne (Duvall) Beruan. He departed this life on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 22 years, 11 months and 19 days.
Sean was a 2014 graduate of Lone Jack High School, Lone Jack, Missouri. He enjoyed skiing, horseback riding, baseball and riding his tricycle. He had lived in Lone Jack and Garden City, Missouri before moving to Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri in 2015.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Paula and Mike Beruan, Garden City, Missouri; his father, Dean Gilbert, Cameron, Missouri; a brother, Daniel Gilbert, Independence, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Mary Duvall, Independence, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Lester Gilbert, Elmwood, Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to The Miracle League of Independence.
