Sherry Diane Francis of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 12, 1958 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of Alva J. and Ermina L. (Cox) Masiongale. She departed this life on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 58 years and 9 months. On July 21, 1976 Sherry was united in marriage to Robert K. Rape.
Sherry was employed as store manager of Robandee IGA in Kansas Citym Missouri until her retirement. She was a sports fanatic for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. She loved and supported her grandchildren and they were her whole world. Sherry had lived in Blue Springs, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert on September 26, 1979.
Sherry is survived by a son, Robert K. Rape Jr. and wife, Kari, St. Charles, Illinois; three daughters, Angela M. Brown and husband, Jeremy, Peculiar, Missouri, Bryana L. Francis and Lindsay D. Francis both of Osage Beach, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, James Masiongale, Woodway, Texas, Jeffrey Masiongale, Waco, Texas; a sister, Jana Walker, McGregor, Texas; her companion John Barr; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
