Shirley Dean Bay

Shirley Bay, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 20th, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Kansas City, MO and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area except for a short time she resided in California. A resident of Raymore MO, she was cherished for her kindness, generosity, and had a passion for gardening and cooking.

November 9th, 1937, Shirley was born to Charles Merlin Hall and Mary Maxine Hall. She was 1 of 5 children with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

More than anything, Shirley treasured spending time with her family. Her home was always open, and she created an atmosphere of warmth and love that became the foundation for precious memories. Her family was the joy of her life, and she took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, who are grateful for the beautiful memories they shared.

She is survived by her children Linda Golden, Alan Bay, Troy Bay, her Grandchildren David Golden, Brady Golden, Corri Graves, Tabitha Nichols, Jeremiah Bay, 9 Great-grandchildren, and siblings Roy Hall, Gwyn Van Vleck and Dick Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin “Sonny” Bay and sister Sandra Wagers.

She will be deeply missed and will always live on in our hearts!

Cremation with a celebration of life service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Dickey Funeral Home.
