Sis Buchholz

Mrs. Sis Buchholz of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 24, 1916 in Otterville, Missouri the daughter of William David and Laura Anna (Monsess) Homan. She departed this life Monday, August 6, 2007 at Ashton Court, Liberty, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Sis was united in marriage to Harold Self and later married Harold Buchholz on April 25, 1952 in Independence, Missouri.
Sis was a homemaker and earlier was employed as a sales clerk for Polson's Dry Goods in Harrisonville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a Pink Lady at Cass Medical Center all of Harrisonville. Sis enjoyed quilting, sewing, walking, cooking and baking pies for family. She had lived in East Lynne, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 1955.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Self and Harold Buchholz; her two daughters, Bobbie Self and Shirley Ann Schroer; two brothers, Alfred and Henry Homan and a sister, Louise Roberts.
She is survived by a son, Gene Self and companion, Lois Jean Hipple, Laurie, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Ron Schroer, Independence, Missouri, Diane Reynolds and husband, John, Louisville, Kentucky, Bryan Schroer and wife, Marla, Liberty, Missouri; 7 gt-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Ron Schroer, Liberty, Missouri; a sister, Marie Verbanic, Kansas City, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Missouri under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Family suggests contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
