Sondra Robertson

Sondra Robertson passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 82 on Friday, September 2, 2022.

Sondra is survived by her adoring husband, Ronnie Robertson Sr., her children, Marilyn Taylor (Duane, previously passed), Ron Robertson Jr. (Diana), Lindy Miranda (Rick), Lonnie Robertson (Diana), Jon Robertson (Teresa), Beth Hill (Brian), Wendy Messina, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and their spouses and many others she welcomed as her own.  She is also survived by her siblings, Bob January (Roberta), Linda Nunnick (Lenny), Frank January and Hertha January and a multitude of nieces and nephews. All of whom will miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Winona January along with other siblings and their spouses. 

Sondra married Ronnie on March 17, 1958. They were together for 64 years.  She loved working side by side her husband, date nights at McDonald’s, and going to garage sales together.

She was a joyful and spiritual woman full of knowledge and wisdom who loved to study the Bible, sing gospel music and play board games, scrabble being her favorite.

Caring for her family and others was a big tribute to who she was. One of her greatest desires was for them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and walk in His footsteps.

Sondra always said not to cry for her when she is gone, but rejoice knowing she is now with the Lord. She is singing with the Angels, free of pain and worry.


A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary University, 15800 Calvary Rd, Kansas City, MO 64147, in the Chapel Tuesday, September 13, 2022 6:00-6:30 pm Prayer and Scripture reading 6:30-8:00 pm Celebration of Life along with snacks.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
