Teresa "Teri" Lynn Smithers

Teresa Lynn Sunseri Smithers, 57, of Belton Missouri passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022. Teri was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and lived in various states before moving to Belton in 1977- 2022. Teri married the love of her life, Ken Smithers, August 29th, 1987. Teri spent her career working as an IT professional in the computer department for over 30 years. Teri had a lifelong love for rescue dogs and took in many throughout the years. Teri enjoyed spending her time with her husband, their 3 fur babies, and extended family. Teri was a member of The Church at Pleasant Ridge and loved serving alongside her husband, in the video and audio ministry. Teri will be dearly missed and always remembered by her contagious laugh and beautiful smile.

Teresa Lynn Sunseri Smithers is survived by her husband, Ken Smithers of Belton; father, Albert Sunseri, mother, Judy Sunseri, her sisters: Deborah (Rick) Smith, Diana (Lonnie) Robertson, Linda (Ron) Horner, her brother: Mike (Deanna) Sunseri and many nieces and nephews. 

The family has requested a celebration of life be held in Teri’s honor at The Church at Pleasant Ridge 22500 East 299th St. Harrisonville Missouri, August 13, 11:00 a.m. Family will be receiving friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, you can give to the, “Teri Smithers Memorial Fund" in care of The Church at Pleasant Ridge.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
