Teri Lee (Spitler) Fuentes, the Angel that God blessed our lives with for too short of a time, of Garden City, Missouri was born January 9, 1955 in East Lynne, Missouri the daughter of Jimmy Lee and Jeni May (Dimmitt) Spitler. She departed this life on Thursday, January 22, 2015 surrounded by love and family at the Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 60 years and 13 days.
Teri loved to be around all of "her babies." She was the best at kissing boo boo's, mending broken hearts, and made time for each one of us. Her arms were always open and willing to accept anyone that came her way. Teri loved to be outdoors playing in the dirt, planting flowers and her garden, walking through the woods, at the lake boating and fishing. She always worked on multiple projects like sewing, painting, canning, quilting, woodworking and baking the best darn chocolate cake you can imagine.
Teri was preceded in death by her parents.
Teri is survived by her fiancé, Robert Jackson of the home; three sons, Eric Cooper, Los Angeles, California, Artie Cooper, Kansas City, Missouri, Brandon Savory, Los Angeles, California; four daughters, Michelle Joseph and husband Dennis, Belton, Missouri, Rochelle Workman and husband Jimmy, Los Angeles, California, Amber Fuentes, Belton, Missouri and Elisa Fuentes, Modesto, California; 10 grandchildren, Lece, Katelyn, Lyric, Belle, Noah, Aliya, Dakota, Demi, Megan and Jordan; a great-grandson, Kase; a brother, Jimmy Spitler, Butler, Missouri; two sisters, Robin Lee and husband Gary, Harrisonville, Missouri, Roni Davis and husband Larry, Appleton City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
In a world of selfishness she lived a selfless life. Patient, kind and compassionate the evidence of her faith could always be found in her works. Teri's life leaves an amazing legacy of a life lived in quiet but effective service to the Lord.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. James 2:18 (NIV)
