Terry Dean Atwood of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 9, 1958 in Wellington, Kansas the son of Arthur Eugene Atwood and Patsy Darlene Egersett. He departed this life on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Terry was employed as parts manager for Galen-Boyer Pontiac in Independence, Missouri until his retirement. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1976 graduate of Harrisonville High School. He was quite a jokester and a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Dawn Atwood; a brother, James Atwood; a sister, Vickie Smith and his step-father, Abe Egersett.
Terry is survived by his mother, Patsy Egersett, Independence, Missouri; his father and step-mother, Gene and Ruby Atwood, Forsyth, Missouri; a brother, Richard Atwood (Kathy), Columbia, Tennessee; his lifelong friend, Pam Dawson, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation. Graveside Memorial service will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
The family suggest that Memorial Contributions may be made to the Midwest Transplant Network and may be sent in care of the Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
