Mrs. Terry Jean King, of Raymore, Missouri, was born September 29, 1953 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Harley Gene and Wanda May (Tinklepaugh) Hartman. She departed this life Monday, August 7, 2006, Research Medical Center, Kansas City at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 8 days.
On November 10, 1972, Terry was united in marriage to Robert Wayne King in Liberty, Missouri.
Terry was employed as an accounting technician for USDA, Kansas City, Missouri for 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville and the Toast Masters - Ag Masters at the USDA. Terry was a 1972 graduate of Liberty, Missouri High School and a 2000 graduate of Park University, Parkville, Missouri. She loved to knit, water ski, attend Blue Grass Festivals and ceramics. Terry moved to Raymore in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. King of the home; a son, Michael W. King and wife, Charlene and a daughter, Denise M. King, all of Raymore, Missouri; two grandchildren, Genessa and James; her mother, Wanda Hartman, Raymore, Missouri; a brother, Gary Hartman, Liberty, Missouri; three sisters, Janet Hartman, Des Moines, Iowa, Karen Lopez, Claycomo, Missouri, Barbara Service, Overland Park, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial serivce was held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
