Thomas Reece Schubert of Harrisonville, Missouri was born April 27, 1943 in High Point, North Carolina the son of Hubert Eli and Pauline Ann (Branham) Schubert. He departed this life Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 20 days.
On April 23, 2005, Thomas was united in marriage to Carolyn Edna Fairchild in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Thomas Reece was employed as an auto body repairman for Keystone Chrysler, Shawnee, Kansas until his retirement on December 31, 2003. He was a Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, Kansas City, Missouri. Thomas Reece enjoyed the outdoors, mowing the yard, flowers and driving his tractor. He had lived in Arizona before moving to Harrisonville.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Cheryl Lee Schubert.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn E. Schubert of the home; his mother, Pauline Schubert, Newborn, Tennessee; a step-son, Cary Smith and wife, Dorothy, Peculiar, Missouri; three step-daughters, Alisa Hammack and husband, Matt, Peculiar, Missouri, Michelle Schultz and husband, Will, Wheatland, Missouri, Deborah Weiss, Harrisonville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Hyatt, Crossville, Tennessee, Verna Porter, Newborn, Tennessee; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Wills Cemetery near Peculiar, Missouri.
