Vickie Lee Sims, 71, of Urich, Missouri, passed away on July 23, 2023 with her loving husband of 54 yrs. Roger Sims and Vickie Doll we’re Wed on July 13 1969. She was born on April 15, 1952, in Clinton, Missouri, to the late Lee Earnie Doll and Mary Virginia Doll (Grimes).
Vickie was a wonderful lady who always made friends wherever she went. She had a warm and welcoming personality that endeared her to everyone she met. Vickie was a dedicated bus driver for Sherwood Cass RVIII for 33 years, and she also worked as a Preschool Para Professional for 19yrs. She found joy in her work and had a positive impact on the lives of many children.
In her free time, Vickie loved to ride her motorcycle and go camping with her beloved husband, Roger. She cherished spending time with her children, Christopher Dale Sims SR, Angela Lee Smith (Sims), and Clifford Allen Sims, as well as her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as with her Sister Margaret Elaine Smith . Vickie's family meant the world to her, and she treasured every moment shared with them.
Vickie was a member of Lucas United Methodist Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith. She valued her spiritual community and the support it provided her throughout her life.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lucas United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research. This cause was close to Vickie's heart, and she would be grateful for any support given to help children battling cancer.
Vickie Lee Sims will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and loving spirit will be remembered and cherished forever.
