Wanda Marie Hamilton, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born May 18, 1925 in Russellville, Missouri the daughter of Frederick and Mamie (Schneider) Dampf. She departed this life Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 85 years and 7 months.
On August 2, 1958, Wanda was united in marriage to George Anderson Hamilton in Russellville, Missouri.
Wanda was an Avon Sales Representative for 28 years up until the time of her death. She was a member of the Salvation Lutheran Church, Harrisonville, the Avon President?s Club, Avon Honor Society and 4-H. Wanda enjoyed family gatherings, exercising at the Cass Regional Cardiac Rehab, traveling, crocheting, cooking, fishing and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Hamilton on June 27, 2001; a daughter, Glenda Hamilton, a brother, Nelson Dampf and a sister, Julietta Hirschvogel.
She is survived by two sons, Nick Hamilton and wife Vickie, Alan Hamilton and wife Kris and a daughter, Brenda Houdek and husband Paul all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Jill, Rachel, David, Andrew, Elizabeth, Grace and Laura; a brother, Warren Dampf, Columbia, Missouri; a special niece, Becky Wise and husband Tom, Centertown, Missouri and their children, Sarah, Anna, Amanda and Christina and families; other relatives and many friends
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Harrisonville, Missouri or the Cass Regional Cardiac Rehab.
