William "Bill" W. Dawson

William “Bill” Walter Dawson, of Greenwood, Missouri, was born April 21, 1943 in Paola, Kansas the son of Leonard Lee and Eileen Gladys (Oberheide) Dawson. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 surrounded by love and family at Foxwood Springs Living Center, Raymore, Missouri at the age of 79 years and 12 days.

On March 28, 1963, Bill was united in marriage to Gladys Faye Bounds in Carson City, Nevada.

Bill was employed as a supervisor for Stuart Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a Marine veteran. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and smoking meat for family get togethers. He loved sports, was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. Bill was a family man and loved being with his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Dawson and Dennis Dawson and a sister, Gail Meacham.

Bill is survived by his wife, Faye Dawson of the home; two sons, Tim Dawson and wife Chris, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Sean Dawson and wife Donee, Raymore, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Lance, Emily, Hunter, Courtney and Madeline; a great-grandson, Luke; a brother, Steve Dawson, Drexel, Missouri; a sister, Cheryl Schien, Raymore, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Palliative & Hospice Care at Foxwood Springs.
