William Francis ?Bill? Henry of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 17, 1936 in West Plains, Missouri the son of Joseph Glen and Ida Mae (Walker) Henry. He departed this life Friday, June 4, 2010 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 17 days.
On April 17, 1957, Bill was united in marriage to Dolly Mae DeWitt. To this union three daughters were born. They later divorced in April of 1973. Bill was then united in marriage to Alice Carol Maddix who preceded him in death. On October 17, 1995, he was united in marriage to Laura B. Goodlett in East Lynne, Missouri.
Bill was employed as a carpenter for Bobbie Davis Construction, Kansas City, Missouri and the later for Tom McGovern Construction until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri where he served as Sunday School director and drove the church bus for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Darrell and Norman Henry and a sister, Betty Jean Henry.
Bill is survived by his wife, Laura Henry of the home; three daughters, Debra Hutson and husband Wayne, Viola, Arkansas, Tammy Raney and husband Melvin, Raytown, Missouri, Angela Snyder and husband Todd, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two step-daughters, Tammy Foreman and husband Brian, Harrisonville, Missouri and Rose Knorr, Butler, Missouri; two step-sons, Stephen and wife Amy and Bryan; 5 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; his mother, Ida Mae Henry-Romans, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Raymond Henry, West Plains, Missouri, Donnie Henry, State of Idaho; two sisters, Eve Summers, White Church, Missouri, Mary Reid, Peace Valley, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 7, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Henry Memorial Fund.
