William S. 'Bill' Adams Jr.

June 2, 1925 — November 19, 2014

Mr. William S. (Bill) Adams Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 2, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William and Florence Adams.
Bill departed this life Wednesday, November 19, 2014 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was 89 years old. On January 19, 1957 Bill was united in marriage to Donieta Fay Stoll in Garden City, Missouri.
Bill was employed as a mechanical engineer for Black & Veatch International in Overland Park, Kansas until his retirement. He was an active member of Abiding Love Baptist Church in Harrisonville. Even though Bill suffered with poor health later in life, it never affected his wonderful spirit and strong faith in God. His kindness and generosity will be forever missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew him.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Donieta, one sister, Sylvia and five brothers, Dean, Jerry, Dale, Ron and Robert.
He is survived by his two children; Brad Adams and wife Tammy of Castle Rock, CO; Susan R. Bresette and husband Phillip of Raymore, MO, and a sister, Donna Adams. Bill was loved and adored by his seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service were held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Abiding Love Baptist Church Building Fund, Harrisonville, Missouri.
