Mrs. Wilma Ailene Helmuth, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born June 21, 1923 near Garden City, Missouri the daughter of William and Mayme Etta (Dunlevy) Bell. She departed this life Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 88 years and 6 months. On December 24, 1941, Wilma was united in marriage to Lawrence Willis Helmuth in Kansas City, Missouri.
Wilma was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Raymore, Missouri. Wilma had lived in Grandview, Missouri, Burlington, Kansas and Belton, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Helmuth and a brother, Omer Bell.
Wilma is survived by her two daughters, Vicky Trieb and husband Tim, Bothell, Washington, Linda Pennington and husband Tom, Peculiar, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Vera Bell, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, Missouri.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 23, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
