Mrs. Laura Wilma Armintrout, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 30, 1917 in Raymore, Missouri the daughter of Albert S. and Nannie Elizabeth (Magill) Smalley. She departed this life Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 93 years and 24 days.
On January 20, 1937, Wilma was united in marriage to Paul Leo Armintrout in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Wilma was a homemaker. She was a member of the Antioch Southern Baptist Church, Harrisonville, the Neighborhood Club and the High Hill Club of Peculiar, Missouri. Wilma will be remembered by spending time with her family, doing crafts, gardening, flowers crocheting and cooking fried chicken.She had lived in Raymore before moving to Harrisonville in 1936.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Armintrout on November 19, 1992; two sisters, Hazel Jeter and Helen Ebeck.
Wilma is survived by two sons, Wayne Armintrout and wife Carol Lee, Peculiar, Missouri, Glen ?Buck? Armintrout an wife Laura, Harrisonville, Missouri; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Smalley Jr., Butler, Missouri; three sisters, Ella Mae McAninch, Peculiar, Missouri, Faye Mitchell, Adrian, Missouri, Carol Wilson, State of Washington; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Christian School.
